● Our Story
Turning Brewery Waste Into Food
We combine academic roots with entrepreneurial drive to build a circular food system — upcycling brewing byproducts into delicious, sustainable snacks.
HOW IT STARTED
From a Student Project to a Real Mission
Brew’dBites started as a student initiative at the Hanzehogeschool of Applied Sciences — a team curious about what could be made from the byproducts of beer brewing.
Even after the project ended, the vision didn’t. We saw a real opportunity: breweries produce large amounts of spent grain, and that “waste” is actually packed with protein, fibre, and nutritional value. We decided to build something around that.
Today, Brew’dBites is run by its two co-founders, working to turn that idea into a meaningful, scalable food business.

OUR VISION
Circularity in the Food Market
We believe what the food industry calls “waste” is actually an untapped resource. Our mission is to use circularity to upcycle brewing byproducts into delicious food and snacks — ingredients with real nutritional value that would otherwise go unused.
Every Brew’dBites product is a step toward a food system that wastes less, nourishes more, and proves that sustainability and great taste go hand in hand.
